First Baptist Church of Davenport

     I am so excited to be a part of what is happening at First Baptist Church of Davenport!  I grew up in the Quad Cities, moved out to Ohio when I got married, but 24 years later, the Lord called me back to my home area.

    I graduated from the University of Iowa and Wartburg Theological Seminary, before serving churches in Ohio, first as an associate pastor, and then as a senior pastor of two different churches.  I have a heart for seeing churches live out their mission, and I find great joy in working with people of all ages.  I have always had a special love for youth ministry - it's hard to beat the power of walking alongside of students as they begin to understand the personal love that God has for them in Jesus Christ!

     I am blessed to be married to Cindy, and we have two children together, Ben and Abby.  I enjoy cheering for the Hawkeyes and the Cubs, reading, and playing games with the family.
